Automatic Management of Errors in Timesheets

Automatic Management of Errors in Timesheets

Our latest update addresses the number one feedback we've received: Technicians not selecting 3 levels deep in QBTime or selecting cost centres that have been deleted, which previously required extensive manual adjustments. Here’s how we’ve improved the process:

1. **Simplified Timesheet Management**: If a technician selects only the job number or section without the specific cost centre, the system will now automatically assign the time to the first available cost centre within the job. This ensures that all time entries are accurately recorded in the SimPro Job, even if the cost centre is not selected.

2. **Error Reduction**: Previously, timesheet errors would halt the synchronization process. Now, instead of sitting in error, timesheets will be assigned to the first cost centre and accompanied by a note indicating the missing section or cost centre. This reduces errors and ensures your job profitability reports remain accurate at the job level.

3. **Flexible Adjustments**: You can still go back to QuickBooks Time, make any necessary changes, and resync the timesheets to the correct cost centre from our portal. This provides you with the flexibility to correct any mistakes easily. You have

4. **Enhanced Reporting**: Identify patterns and potential training opportunities by searching for entries with missing cost centres. This will help you pinpoint recurring issues and address them promptly.

5. **Robust Handling of Deleted Cost Centres**: In cases where a cost centre is deleted in Simpro after timesheets have been sent over, our system will still ensure that the time is recorded accurately by assigning it to the first cost centre in the job.  You can then go back and edit the Cost centres in QBT for the future.

We have prepared a 5 Minute Demo Video to show you exactly how these improvements work. You can watch it here below
