Automatic Stock Allocation for Shopify Orders in Simpro

Automatic Stock Allocation for Shopify Orders in Simpro

Automatic Stock Allocation for Shopify Orders in Simpro

We’re excited to introduce a new feature in our **Simpro to Shopify integration that simplifies inventory handling by automatically allocating products when orders are synced to Simpro.

What’s New?

With this update, products in Shopify orders will now be automatically allocated in Simpro as soon as the order is successfully synced—saving time and reducing manual effort.

How to Enable Automatic Stock Allocation

To activate this feature:

  1. Go to the Settings tab in your Simpro–Shopify integration.

  2. Turn on the toggle labeled Enable Stock Allocation.

Once enabled, this setting will apply to all newly synced orders.

How Stock Allocation Works

  • When a new order is synced from Shopify to Simpro, the system will attempt to allocate the products automatically.

  • Stock availability is required:

    • If the product is in stock, it will be allocated successfully.

    • If the product is out of stock, it will not be allocated.

  • Warehouse allocation logic:

    • Products are allocated starting from the first warehouse.

    • If stock is not available there, the system checks the second warehouse, and continues sequentially.

    • Allocation is not based on the default warehouse, as default warehouse data is not available through the API.

Important Notes

  • This feature applies only to new orders synced after the toggle is enabled.

  • Orders with insufficient stock will sync without allocation.
