Default Attachment Settings for SafetyCulture Inspections Synced to simPRO

Overview

The SyncEzy Simpro to SafetyCulture integration includes a feature called Default Attachment Settings. This setting allows you to control the default visibility options applied to inspection reports when they are synced from SafetyCulture and attached to jobs in simPRO.

When an inspection is completed in SafetyCulture and synced to simPRO, the inspection report is created as a Job Attachment. The Email and Public attachment settings applied to the synced report are determined by the configuration in your integration settings.

How It Works

Within the integration settings, you will find two toggle options:

  • Email
  • Public

The state of these toggles determines which attachment options are automatically selected in simPRO for newly synced inspection reports.

Email Toggle  Public Toggle  Result in simPRO
Off  Off  Both Email and Public remain unticked
On   Off  Email is ticked, Public remains unticked
Off  On  Public is ticked, Email remains unticked
On  On    Both Email and Public are ticked

What Does "Public" Mean?

When an attachment is marked as Public in simPRO:

  • The attachment is visible to customers through the customer portal (if your organization uses the portal).
  • It can be included in customer-facing documents and records.
  • It is typically used for completed work photos, certificates, inspection reports, and other documents that customers should be able to access.

What Does "Email" Mean?

When an attachment is marked as Email in simPRO:

  • The attachment is available for inclusion when sending emails from simPRO.
  • It can be attached automatically or manually to quotes, invoices, job updates, and other email communications.
  • If this option is not selected, the attachment may not appear in the list of available files when composing emails.

Review Your Settings

Please review your Default Attachment Settings to ensure they align with your business requirements and document-sharing processes.

You can review and update these settings in Integration Settings> Default Attachment Settings for new data uploaded from SafetyCulture to Simpro, as shown in the screenshot below.
