How to reauthenticate apps in your Simpro Mitti (formerly Safety Culture) integration

You may need to update the application credentials if an existing user has been archived, if the password has changed, or if you wish to use service accounts for your integration. Additionally, ensure that the new or service account has the same permissions as the current user. The permissions must match those of the user currently connected.

To reauthenticate, log in to integrations.syncezy.com, then navigate to My Integrations and click on Details for the app.

Once on the integration page, follow the steps below for each integration:


How to Reauthenticate Simpro:

  1. On the Integration page, click the Up arrow button.

  2. Click Reconnect under SimPRO to reauthorize the account.
    Note: Do not click Disconnect as it will delete all data and reset the integration.

  3. After clicking Reconnect, you’ll be redirected to the Connection page

  4. You will be redirected to connection page. Click Connect under Simpro Logo

  5. Here, You have 2 options:
     - Simple authentication  - Default - Preferred
    - Advance Authentication -  can only be used with API Applications created in Simpro


    Simple Authentication
    a) Once you click on Connect button, a screen will reveal text boxes  for Simpro URL and Company ID .
    Add your Simpro URL  but Company ID will not be changed. 

    b) Click on Submit button , after entering the details. 
    c) Enter the Simpro credentials when asked 

    d) Click Yes when asked to finalize. 


    Advanced Authentication

    Note: Please use this method only  when you have API application already created in Simpro. 

    a) To use advance authentication , please click on Go to Advanced Auth


    b) You will now see option to add Simpro URL and Simpro Auth token (API key)


    c) Enter your SimPRO instance URL
    (e.g., https://yourcompany.simpro.co). Ensure the URL is correct and does not contain any trailing slashes.

    d) Refresh API key  and add in SyncEzy portal using the steps below:

To Refresh a SimPRO API Authentication Token:

  1. In SimPRO, click the Setup (Gear icon) and select Setup.

  2. Go to API > Applications.

  3. Click on your existing application for this integration

  4. Click Refresh to regenerate API Key

  5. Copy the generated API key and click Save to save the configuration

  6. Paste the copied API key into the SimPRO Auth Token field in SyncEzy.

  7. Click Submit.  Add credentials when asked to authorize.

    Your SimPRO account is now authenticated.


How to Reauthenticate SafetyCulture

To reauthenticate SafetyCulture, you will need to generate an API token from your SafetyCulture app. Follow the steps below:

  1. On the Integration page, click the Up arrow button.

  2. Click Disconnect under SafetyCulture, then confirm by clicking Yes when the confirmation window appears.

  3. You will be redirected to the connection page. Click and Connect, you will be asked for an API token (Authentication Key).

To Generate Your SafetyCulture API Authentication Token:

  1. Visit your SafetyCulture app at https://app.safetyculture.com .

  2. Click your username on the lower-left corner of the page and select My Profile.

  3. Click Settings iconSettings on the upper-right of the page.

  4. Click on  API Tokens tab (visit https://app.safetyculture.com/account/api-tokens)

  5. Click the Generate API Token button in the top-right corner of the window.

  6. Enter a name for your application (e.g., "SyncEzy Integration" for clarity) and add your password.

  7. Click Generate at the bottom-right of the window.

  8. A pop-up window will appear with your new API token. Copy the token (Note: You will not be able to view the token again after closing this window).

  9. Paste the token into the SyncEzy connection page where it asks for the API token, then click Submit.
