This feature empowers clients to enhance the security of their database connections by restricting access to predefined IP addresses.

Key Features of IP Whitelisting

  1. Enhanced Security: IP Whitelisting ensures that database connections are permitted only from specified IP addresses, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
  2. Customizable Whitelist: Clients can add up to two IP addresses to the whitelist, allowing flexibility while maintaining security standards.
  3. Ideal for Fixed IP Addresses: This feature is particularly beneficial for clients with fixed IP addresses, offering an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access attempts.

How IP Whitelisting Improves Security

Traditionally, database connections rely on public IP addresses, granting unrestricted access to the database. Enabling IP Whitelisting

To enable the IP Whitelisting feature, clients will need reach out to our support team via email at support@syncezy.com, through live chat, or by phone. (Please note that this feature is available as an optional paid add-on.)

Once enabled, clients can add IP addresses by following these steps:
  1. Access SyncEzy Portal: Log in to your SyncEzy account at https://integrations.syncezy.com/.

  2. Navigate to Integration Details: On the integration page, locate the details tab and access the Database Access Settings.

  3. Verify Device IP: To determine the device's IP address, clients can utilize services such as IP Lookup

  4. Add IP Addresses: Clients can add up to two IP addresses to the whitelist. Additionally, they have the flexibility to delete existing IP addresses and add new ones as needed.
