Overview

We are excited to introduce a new enhancement to our Simpro to SharePoint integration that helps keep your SharePoint environment clean and organized.

With this new feature, the integration can now prevent empty Jobs, Sites, and Quotes from syncing to SharePoint. If a Job, Site, or Quote does not contain any attachments, the integration will not create folders for those records in SharePoint.

This helps eliminate unnecessary empty folders and ensures that only records containing actual attachments are synced.

How the Feature Works

• Jobs, Sites, and Quotes without any attachments will be excluded from the sync process.
• If a Job, Site, or Quote contains folders but those folders do not include any files, the record will still not sync.
• At least one attachment/file must be present to trigger synchronization to SharePoint.

Configuration Settings

This feature can be enabled or disabled using the toggles available under the Settings tab in the integration configuration.

Please refer to the screenshot below for the toggle locations.

Important Notes

• By default, all toggles are turned OFF.
• The feature will only become active once you enable the toggle for:
  • Jobs
  • Quotes
  • Sites

Once enabled:

• Any future Jobs, Quotes, or Sites without attachments will automatically be excluded from syncing.
• As soon as an attachment is added, the item will become eligible for synchronization and will sync to SharePoint normally.
