We’ve introduced new features and improvements to the Simpro to Employment Hero (EH) integration to provide you with more flexibility, control, and accurate mapping. Below is a detailed summary of the key updates:
To give you more control over how timesheets are retrieved and sent across systems, we’ve added two toggles within the integration:
Toggle 1 – Auto Send Timesheet
When turned off, timesheets fetched from Simpro will not be sent to Employment Hero.
Toggle 2 – Auto Retrieve Timesheet
When turned off, SyncEzy will stop automatically fetching timesheets from Simpro.
These toggles help in scenarios where manual validation is required before syncing or when temporary syncing needs to be paused.
You can now pair Simpro activities not only with Work Types and Leave Types, but also with Allowances (Pay Categories) in Employment Hero.
Allowances (Pay Categories) are now available in the pairing tab.
Only Fixed-type allowances are supported.
Allowances will be synced to EH in units, not hours.
We’ve introduced a new setting that allows you to define how units convert from time. You can set:
1 Unit = 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes
Example:
If 1 unit = 15 minutes and an activity logs 1 hour, the allowance will be synced as 4 units.
Each Allowance (Pay Category) must be linked to a Work Type.
⚠️ Why?
Employment Hero timesheets only display Work Types, not allowances. During pay runs, EH will map the work type back to the correct allowance.
For example:
If you have an allowance called “On Call / Standby Allowance”, create a Work Type named the same, and link the two.
In the timesheet, the Work Type appears, and in the pay run, the Allowance is applied accordingly.
We’ve added a new capability: Schedule Rate to Work Type pairing.
Previously, only Activities were mapped to Work Types.
Now, Schedule Rates (based on hours spent on jobs) can also be paired with applicable Work Types.
This allows job-based hours (from Simpro Schedule Rates) to be recorded accurately in EH timesheets using the correct work type. Please note: If an activity is not paired with any work type, leave type, or allowance type, but its schedule rate is paired with a work type in the schedule rate pairing, then the activity will be synced as that work type.
