We have introduced an enhancement to the payslip file naming format used in the HiBob–Employment Hero integration.
This change applies to all newly synced payslips.
All newly synced payslips will use the following naming convention:
{eh_employee_id}_from_{payrun_start_date}_to_{payrun_end_date}_{unique_timestamp}.pdf
10502121_from_2026-06-27_to_2026-07-03_1781168972.pdf
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
eh_employee_id | Employment Hero Employee ID |
payrun_start_date | Start date of the pay run |
payrun_end_date | End date of the pay run |
unique_timestamp | System-generated unique timestamp to ensure filename uniqueness |
.pdf | Payslip file format |
Customers who have enabled the Filename Prefix Setting will continue to have their configured prefix added to the beginning of the payslip file name.

The new naming format will automatically apply to all newly synced payslips.
You only need to take action if you wish to:
No. Existing payslips will remain unchanged. The new naming convention only applies to newly synced payslips.
The update improves payslip sync reliability, prevents filename conflicts, and makes payslips easier to identify by employee and pay run period.
Yes. Any configured filename prefix will continue to be applied before the standard payslip naming structure.
The filename now includes the Employment Hero Employee ID, making employee identification easier.
A system-generated timestamp is appended to each filename to ensure uniqueness and avoid conflicts.
