About the simPRO to Employment Hero Payroll integration
How often does the sync run?
The integration is designed to allow you to manually fetch and send all employee timesheets from simPRO as required. You will be able to fetch timesheets per each Employment Hero pay period. This is based on your payroll settings in Employment Hero (weekly, fortnightly etc).
How long does it take to transfer my employees, and simPRO Activities across?
When you set up the integration you will select the Refresh App Data menu and then select the Sync All Data button. This will fetch the following data from simPRO and Employment Hero:
1) Employment Hero Leave Categories.
2) Employment Hero Employee list.
3) simPRO Employee list.
4) simPRO Activities.
Complete this action each time you require new employees, simPRO activities or any of the above data to be refreshed/changed based on changes made within simPRO or Employment Hero.
How do I remove an employee from integration?
To remove an employee, click on Refresh App Data menu and then select the Sync All Data button. This will fetch the updated employee list from simPRO.

Then remove the employee from Employee Pairing tab. The employee will be removed.

What happens when an employee is terminated in Employment Hero?
When an employee is terminated in Employment Hero, you can sync this update to Simpro by going to SyncEzy → Refresh App Data → Sync Data.
Once the sync is completed:

The terminated employee will no longer appear when fetching timesheets in Simpro.

You will not be able to fetch or sync any timesheets for that employee going forward.

The pairing will also be removed from Integration.
Important: Make sure all required timesheets are fetched and synced before terminating the employee or running the sync, as this action cannot be reversed.
Will new employees created in Employment Hero automatically sync to Simpro?
Yes, when a new employee is created in Employment Hero, they will automatically sync to Simpro and the pairing will be completed automatically.
However, this will only work if the “Sync new Employment Hero payroll employee” toggle is turned on.
What triggers the files being transferred?
There are no files transferred in this integration. You will need to login to SyncEzy and fetch and send all employee timesheets from simPRO as required each Employment Hero pay period. Once you fetch the timesheets from simPRO, you can send to Employment Hero by selecting all and choosing the Send Timesheets to Employment Hero button (within the Manage Timesheets menu).
What do the “Auto Send Timesheet” and “Auto Retrieve Timesheet” toggles do?
There are two toggles available in the integration settings:

Auto Retrieve Timesheet: When enabled, timesheets are automatically fetched from Simpro at the end of each day. However, this does not send the timesheets to Employment Hero.

Auto Send Timesheet: When enabled, any timesheets that are fetched will automatically be sent to Employment Hero.
To fully automate the process, both toggles should be turned on.
This automation works on a daily basis. It will not update or re-sync any changes made to timesheets that were already synced on previous days
Is there a size limit on the images that transfer across?
At the moment the integration is not capable of syncing file attachments from simPRO to Employment Hero.
If I update information in Employment Hero, does it sync back into simPRO?
At this stage, the integration is a one-way sync only (simPRO to Employment Hero Payroll).
Where do I go to check the settings and billing details on my simPRO-Employment Hero integration?
You can view your settings/configurations and billing details by logging in to the SyncEzy integration portal - integrations.syncezy.com
Select the Plan Details menu to view your plan interval and cost. All other menus will relate to settings, use and management of the integration itself.
Can I change the Employment Hero/simPRO account?
Yes, login to your SyncEzy account at integrations.syncezy.com
Go to My Integrations, select the Details button next to the integration you’d like to edit and select “Reset Credentials” from the left menu. This will reset your credentials on both sides and you can reconnect the simPRO and Employment Hero Payroll to a different account.
You can also change the account details for only one application by clicking on Reconnect/Disconnect.

Can I customise what is sent over from simPRO to Employment Hero?
At this stage you can’t customize what is sent over to Employment Hero. When you fetch timesheets for employees into the SyncEzy integration portal to send to Employment Hero, we fetch the following timesheets from the employee’s simPRO schedule:
- Quote timesheets
- Job timesheets
- All activities including time off/leave
