simPRO to Safety Culture (Two-Way) Integration FAQs

How often does the sync run?

The initial sync of jobs from simPRO to Safety Culture may take some time to complete (almost 15-20 minutes to sync 500 jobs). After that the sync runs every minute. 

What type of data does the integration sync?

We sync simPRO Job details such as Job ID/site name/customer name and all the other available fields in the field pairing tab of the integration, over to Safety Culture. Once the inspection report is completed by the Technician, the inspection will be backfilled with all of the simPRO field data, corresponding to the fields you have paired in the integration.

With in a minute after the sync runs, the completed inspection report will be synced as a PDF file back to the attachments tab on the corresponding job in simPRO.

Is there any limit on syncing of Inspection reports?

The limit of syncing reports depends on your purchased plan. If you have purchased a plan with unlimited inspection reports then you can sync unlimited inspection reports to simPRO.

What is the criteria that determines which jobs are synchronized with Safety Culture?

Time limit: By default it is set to 365 days, which means upon initial sync, we will import all the jobs that have been created/modified in the last 365 days. After that we only sync newly created jobs. We sync all types of jobs -Service Jobs, Project Jobs, Prepaid Jobs etc.

Can I customize how the jobs details will be sent out to Safety Culture?

Yes, you can set the job parameter name (how the job list will appear in Safety Culture) under the "Global Response Set" tab and configure the job fields pairing under the "Fields Pairing" tab in the SyncEzy portal. Please click here for more details.

Where within Safety Culture does the configured  "Global Response Set" appear when creating the template?

While creating the template questions in Safety Culture, the Global Response Set will appear as "simPRO Job List". Please ensure that the Global Response Set "simPRO Job List" is present against the Job No. or Job ID in all templates where you intend to save inspections PDF to simPRO.




What is a Global Response Set?

Global Response Sets (GRS) are lists of items that you can reuse across templates as multiple-choice responses. If you have a list of personnel in your organization that gets updated frequently, this would be a great opportunity to utilize GRS. You can apply a GRS to all templates in your organization and make changes from a single point.

Why my inspection PDF not syncing to simPRO?

There are two potential reasons:

1. Please ensure that the "simPRO Job List" from the Global Response Set is associated with the Job Number or Job ID in all the templates you plan to use for saving inspection PDFs to simPRO.

2. Please note that for the sync to function and successfully transfer PDF to simPRO, at least one field must be paired in Field Pairing and included in the inspection template questions.

Yes we have, we have been building integrations for the last eight years with over 50 integrations built across various systems. All our communication between systems is fully-encrypted.  We do not store your actual data and files on our servers, we only store the IDs / names / and meta data of the records and some minimum information for logging and troubleshooting.
