If you’ve received a notification from us about an inspection failing to sync between Simpro and SafetyCulture, don’t worry — this is a common issue with clear solutions. In this article, we’ll walk you through the most frequent causes and show you how to identify and resolve them using the Data View tab within the integration platform.
Within the integration platform, navigate to the Data View tab. Here, you'll find a dropdown with two key sections:
Ignored_Inspection
Unsynced_Inspection
Each section represents a different category of syncing issues. Let’s explore them.
This section lists inspections that the integration ignored and did not attempt to sync. There are two main reasons for this:
The integration only syncs inspections where the template includes a Global Response Set (GRS) titled Simpro job list.
This GRS must be paired with a Job Number field in the template.
The Simpro job list contains jobs synced from Simpro, allowing the inspection to match with a specific job.
If this GRS is missing from the inspection template, the inspection will not sync.
These inspections will appear in the Ignored_Inspection list along with their Inspection IDs.
💡 Tip: This usually occurs in templates where syncing is not required. You may want to review and update templates accordingly.
This error occurs when:
The inspection is deleted in SafetyCulture before it could sync.
There's a permission issue – the integration does not have access to the inspection.
The solution is to re-authorize the SafetyCulture account with Admin permissions.
This section lists inspections that should have synced (because the template contains the required GRS), but didn’t due to other issues.
This occurs when:
No job ID is selected while completing the inspection.
The Simpro job list GRS was present, but the user failed to choose a job from the list.
To sync an inspection, two conditions must be met:
The inspection template includes the GRS Simpro job list.
At least one field is paired in the Field Pairing tab.
You must pair Simpro fields (like customer or site details) with corresponding SafetyCulture questions.
Make sure:
The SafetyCulture question type is "Text Answer".
Question names exactly match across all templates.
This ensures that data from Simpro is correctly mapped and appears in your inspection reports.
The job selected from the Simpro job list GRS is no longer available in Simpro.
Regularly review your templates and ensure the GRS Simpro job list is present if syncing is required.
Double-check that at least one field is paired under Field Pairing tab in SyncEzy Integration.
Ensure all inspections have a valid job ID selected from the Simpro Job List (GRS). Please ensure this is set as a mandatory field.
If issues persist, verify your permissions and reauthorize your SafetyCulture account if needed.
By understanding and addressing these common issues, you can ensure smooth syncing between Simpro and SafetyCulture for all your inspection data.
