How to reauthenticate your integration applications with new accounts, without breaking your project sync



Summary

This guide will provide you with detailed information on changing the authenticated applications email/account in your SyncEzy Integration.

Is it possible?

Yes, it is possible to change the application credentials in a live integration. Also, changing the credentials will not break the sync as long as the new email account/service account has all the necessary access to the same company account that was connected previously. 


What permissions are required?

Procore - Full Admin permissions on the projects tools in Procore. Please click here to view detailed article.
SharePoint - Admin access to the sites that you would like use for sync in the connected SharePoint account.

Why is it required?

You may need to change application(s) credentials if an existing user has been archived or left your company. Or it may be, that you would like to use service accounts for your integration.

How can this be completed?

To change the application credentials you just need to re-authorize the applications with the new account login. Please refer to the detailed articles below.



For example If you are using the Procore to SharePoint integration, you can re-authorize Procore or SharePoint or both the applications by following the steps below:

A) Login to integrations.syncezy.com

B) Go to My Integrations > Click on Details for the app.

C) On the Integration page kindly click on the “Up arrow” button then click on “ReConnect” under Procore to re-authorize the account.


In case of re-authorizing SharePoint, please click on "Disconnect" then click on "Yes”  to re-authorize the account. (Please refer to the screenshot below).



D) Authenticate and provide access to Procore/SharePoint again by authorizing the prompted permissions.

You will not need to re-add your projects to sync. Once the application(s) has been re-authenticated, please contact SyncEzy at support@syncezy.com so that we are able to ensure your integration is syncing smoothly after re-authorizing your application.
